Protests,Doglapan & room shifting

Welcome welcome welcome Dosto

This week was intense with the protests at GMC regarding the injustice in Kolkata. The situation escalated quickly, with people in the group frustrated at the lack of action from the authorities. It seems like everyone has big ideas, like organizing street strikes, getting consultants and doctors involved, or telling GARD to step in, but no one is offering actionable solutions.

I tried to make a difference (photo), but it’s clear that many people are more talk than action. It's frustrating to see so many "influencers" doing things just for clout, which really pissed me off.

Kudos to second year bubs, their energy was enough for me to stay there from 10am to 5pm…. Also the AIQ from our batch who showed support like krazyyy

When the protests started, I noticed something else: most of the participants relatively were men, even though the male-to-female ratio in the college is 1:3. Many of these people weren’t even participating actively; they were just sitting under trees, discussing where to hang out next. This lack of commitment made me so mad that I skipped the next day's protest. I regret it, but I have my principles. It was the best decision, aside from one random guy who caused trouble. But at least Goa is with us ❤️, which is a relief because our crowd is educated.

Here are my suggestions for dealing with rapists:

1. Don’t spread hate towards the opposite gender.- It’s important to focus on addressing the crime, not assigning blame to an entire gender. Spreading hate only fuels division and detracts from the goal of achieving justice. We should promote understanding, support victims, and work together to create a safer society for everyone.

2. Request the government to create a new law that mandates the death penalty for rapists or, at the very least, keeps them in prison even if they are only under allegations.

3. They should not be allowed to roam freely unless proven not guilty (this could make a fucking difference).

4. The aim is to speed up the decision-making process because people tend to forget about issues over time.

5. Swift decisions are essential for a better society.

On a different note, I've almost finished shifting rooms and plan to vlog from my first room soon. I wanted to film something about the Kolkata case, but it was too factual for me to speak on. Plus, I’ve got the CNS video that I haven't even scripted yet, and it’s due this week 🥲. Wish me luck, especially since the OBG ward is leaving too.

Recently, Shahid Ahmed, Pranav, and I went to Campal at night and discovered that Pranav has an issue (related to the topic 😂). We even coined a new term, “Ahmed.” I also visited Yoga Setu Bridge and took a photo of Parshuram.

It’s been a crazy week, but I’m pushing through.
